Step #1: Preparation
This guide will help you to get started with OctoMY™ Remote. Before we start, you will need one of the following:

For this guide, any Android device running 4.x or iOS will do.
It does not have to be fancy as long as it supports internet access.

Any PC running a supported flavor of Linux, OS X or Windows will work.

NOTE: We will show the steps presuming you are using an Android device as this is most common, separate guides will be made for different platforms later.
Step #2: Install Remote App
- From the menu of your device, open google play store:
- In the search bar, type in "octomy":
- In the search result, scroll until you find OctoMY™Remote.
- For security, please verify that the app author is "octomy.org".
- Select to install the app.
- When installation is finished, select to open the app.
Step #3: Deliver Remote
As soon as Remote App opens, it will start generating it's identity. This will take some time and it will complete on its own.
Step #4: Pair with Agent
Once the remote identity has been generated you will be presented with the pairing screen. This is where you connect your remote to agents for it to control. You may enter this screen at any time later.
This section explains how you can connect the OctoMY™ Remoteto one or more OctoMY™ Agents to give you access to the robot over the network/air.
- Continue to the section titled "Getting started with OctoMY™ Agent" and follow it until the subtitle "Pairing with OctoMY™ Remote".
- Now both your Agent and your Remote should be in pairing mode, and the rest of this getting started guide will follow in the OctoMY Agent Getting Started page.
